2019 Request to reduce the speed limit on Waldo Blvd from  
roundabout to RIver Ct.  
Alder Reckelberg initially proposed raising the speed limit on Waldo  
Boulevard to 35 MPH from the round-a-bout to North 6th Street. However,  
after consulting with staff, the proposal was adjusted to set the speed limit  
at 30 MPH from the round-a-bout to North 5th Street. During the discussion,  
residents shared their thoughts on the proposed change. Alder Beeman  
made a motion to deny the request, seconded by Alder Cummings.  
Moved by Beeman, seconded by Cummings, that this Request be denied and  
referred to Council. The motion carried by the following vote:  
3 - Boldt, Beeman and Cummings

Nay:  
Construction of Sidewalks in the Royal Oaks Subdivision at the following  
locations; 2500, 2600, and 2700 blocks of Knuell Street, 2500, 2600, and  
2700 blocks of Red Fox Lane, and 4300 and 4400 blocks of Deerbrook  
Lane.  
The Public Safety Committee reviewed this matter to decide whether  
further information is needed to assess the necessity of sidewalks in the  
area for the public's health and safety. A motion was made to place the  
request on file.  
Moved by Vanderkin, seconded by Beeman, that this Request be placed on file  
and referred to Council. The motion carried by the following vote:  
4 - Boldt, Beeman, DeBaets and Vanderkin
